|Blackthorn Teams up with Musicians for Miracles to benefit local non-profit
Joplin - Musicians for Miracles is teaming up with Blackthorn Pizza and Pub on April 12, 2014, to host a donation drive and silent auction to benefit the AIDS Project of the Ozarks. Donations sought are to restock the APO’s pantry of personal care and house cleaning items such as bathroom tissue, dish soap, razors, shampoo, and bandages. These items will be distributed to the Joplin APO’s clients and their families, who would otherwise go without.
Music will begin at 6 p.m. at Blackthorn Pizza and Pub, 510 S. Joplin Ave. Please bring one item to donate to the pantry or $5 for entry. Silent Auction will begin at 6 p.m. For more information or to donate contact LaRenda Jackson at (417) 5019340, send an e-mail here or go here.
The AIDS Project of the Ozarks is a non-profit community-based organization that serves 29 counties in Southwest Missouri. APO currently serves over 600 clients with HIV/AIDS and their families. Their services include medical care, case management, education to the general public, and services to persons with HIV infection and their families in a confidential, caring environment.
