Artists' studio tour is planned in Arkansas lucia
Updated: 2009-09-02 14:08:04
Over 25 artists in Newton County, Arkansas, will open their studios on September 18-20, 2009, to area visitors for the third annual Ozark Mountain Artists' Studio Tour. This 3-day event is a free self-guided tour that allows visitors to tour artists' unique studios, watch them create distinctive works-of-art, and purchase art directly.

Inspired by the beauty of the Ozarks and the Buffalo River, these artists discovered their niche in Newton County and its simple country living. Many are regionally and nationally known artists and craftspeople who work in a variety of mediums including sculpture, painting, photography, carving, jewelry, fabric, ceramics, furniture, and instrument making.

For further information about the artists, studio hours and a printable map, go here. For suggestions on overnight accommodations go here (look in "Business Directory").
