Volunteers always are needed for the many jobs that are required to keep the theatre running smoothly. These jobs include acting; helping with costuming, props and cleaning; and food service assistance including assuming the roles as servers, ushers or diswashers. Other volunteers are needed for yardwork, repairs, publicity and fund-raising. Money contributions, supplies and labor are needed for finishing the box office, re-flooring the lobby and creating storage areas for backstage items.
Contributions may be made to the Stone's Throw Theatre Henry Heckart Endowment Fund. Managed by the Carthage Community Foundation and Community Foundation of the Ozarks, the fund is set up so that its interest is used for the needs of the theatre. Anyone making a donation of $1,000 or more is eligible for a star on our Gallery of Stars plaque in the lobby. To make a tax deductible contribution, contact John Reynolds, treasurer, at (417) 358-6466.
