Chapter of NAWW is formed in Missouri
April 12, 2006
Women writers in the St. Robert's area have joined together to form a chapter of the National Association of Women Writers (NAWW). Ft. Leonard Wood writer and columnist Teresa Hernandez has been named regional representative.

NAWW was founded in 2001 to develop a support and assistance network for women writers. NAWW's mission is to inspire, motivate, and teach women writers through publications, workshops, and conferences. The St. Robert's chapter is one of 13 nationwide and the only one in Missouri.

The first workshop/luncheon is scheduled for May 6, 2006 at Drury University in St. Roberts. Award winning authors, Candace Carrabus-Rice, Barri Bumgarner, Ann Leach, and Marlene Carter will be speaking on a variety of writing and publishing topics. Members and non-members are encouraged to attend. For more infomation or to sign up by May 1, contact Hernandez by email or phone (573) 329-7007 or (573) 452-1461.

Additional information on NAWW and a place to sign up for the “NAWW Weekly," a free weekly inspirational and how-to ezine for women writers can be found here.
