Blunt unveils Insure Missouri mariwinn
Updated: 2007-09-25 22:48:26
Missouri Gov. Matt Blunt listens as Gary Duncan, president of Freeman Health Systems, describes his take on the new health care package that Blunt signed into law on July 2, 2007. In providing new access to affordable health coverage initially for 30 per cent of the 719,000 uninsured that meet income guidelines, Insure Missouri, according to Blunt, in part will cut unnecessary use of emergency room facilities and lower health costs for everyone. The message of Duncan, whose hospital is in the process of expanding their ER facilities, was that the plan will free up those facilities for more appropriate use.
