Beauty in the eye of the beholder mariwinn
Updated: 2008-12-13 08:54:39
This deer and his buddies spent some time frolicking on the country property of a Neosho area reader. I'm not one to wax poetic over them. I remember a time when I had cleaned up poop on my front lawn from a herd of about 12. The garbage collector decided to dispose of it and my garbage can because of the aroma. I've tried several plantings in an area I call their "route," but all of my selections, many allegedly deer-proof, became fodder for their overactive salivary glands. So far, I haven't seen any marauders this week. I assume that the difficult economy make venison more than a delicacy. And I'm not one to cry over a practical use of anything.-mariwinn (photo by Mark Adams)
