Ed Emery who heard him, Senator Kit Bond announced that he will not run for re-election to the US Senate in 2010 but retire instead to other adventures. He quipped that although he holds the distinction as Missouri's youngest governor, he did not aspire to be Missouri's oldest Senator. Wish the Senator a happy 70th birthday on March 6, 2009.
