SHS junior participates in FCCLA shadowing project staff
Updated: 2009-03-07 18:41:36
Breann Ferguson, a junior at Seneca High School, was one of 50 students to participate in the Family, Career and Community Leaders of America Legislative Shadowing Project recently in Jefferson City. After attending a keynote speech by Missouri Supreme Court Judge, the Honorable Mary R. Russel, Ferguson spent most of the time shadowing Senator Gary Nodler and Rep. Kevin Wilson. FCCLA is the only in-school student organization with the family as its central focus. Participation in activities such as the Legislative Shadowing Project helps members become strong leaders in their families, careers and communities. Breann Ferguson is the daughter of Shana Ferguson of Seneca and Allen Ferguson of Neosho. She was accompanied on the trip by her chapter adviser, Susan Herbert, the family and consumer sciences teacher and FCCLA adviser at Seneca High School. In the sea of faces, Ferguson is three down from the edge of the left railing.
