| The Joplin Police Department will be testing for the position of police officer from October 11-12, 2009. Applicants are not required to be Missouri POST certified in order to apply for this position. Applicants must be at least 20 years of age and not have any prior felony convictions or misdemeanor convictions that involve moral turpitude.
The starting pay for applicants without certification and no prior experience is $26, 138. Starting pay for applicants who are certified with no prior experience is $28,270. Starting pay for applicants who are certified with experience is $30,313.
