| The round red barn lives on... | mariwinn | | Updated: 2011-03-26 14:52:40 |  | | | Photographed recently is the beloved round red barn south of Joplin in Newton County that was the subject of much controversy when its owner, David Kolkmeyer, considered having it taken down. Through the years weather-related damage, especially after a snowstorm in March 2010, worsened its structural integrity. However, further damage seems to have reached an impasse and the barn still stands. |
