| Proud new MacBook owner | mariwinn | | Updated: 2011-08-19 13:27:07 |  | | | Chandler Smith, a student at Joplin High School shows off his new MacBook that he recently received on the first day of school. Not clearly visible but proud of it all the same is his program that he said he was using. While his classes are being held at the Memorial Education Center, (formerly Memorial Middle School) 310 W. 8th St., 11th and 12th graders will have the luxury of new modular classrooms in the former ShopKo location at the Northpark Mall. Living up to his promise of opening schools on time amid such tremendous destruction from the May 22 tornado was an incredible feat performed by Superintendent of Schools Dr. C.J. Huff and his staff. |
