Public transit workshop takes place in Joplin mariwinn
Updated: 2012-01-27 20:18:57
Steve Billings, administrator of transit with the Missouri Department of Transportation's Transit Division, presents a Public Transit - Human Services Transportation Coordination Planning Workshop at the Joplin Area Chamber of Commerce on January 26, 2012, to interested agencies and passenger advocates. MoDot has determined that public input is important in order address any gaps in service. The workshop details strategies leading to greater efficiency and effectiveness as well as how to write grants for SAFETEA-LU funding that MoDot administers for the purchase of vehicles for non-profits for job access and reverse commute and for projects beyond the American Disabilities Act to assist low income people.(Photo by Vince Rosati).
