William M. Thompson, P.E., pictured at left, has been named chairman of the board and senior vice president for Allgeier Martin and Associates, Inc., according to the firm's announcement. Thompson has served as president since 2001.
Thompson is a 1970 graduate of the University of Missouri-Rolla with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering. He began his engineering career as a power and controls engineer at one of eastern Missouri’s lead mines, served three years as a communications engineer at the U.S. Army STRATCOM in Arizona, then joined Allgeier Martin in 1976. He is the firm’s senior substation and communications department manager.
He and his wife Kathy have three daughters, Cheri, Lisa and Kristy and six grandchildren.
Dean Willis, P.E., pictured at left, has been promoted to president of the firm, effective immediately. Willis is a 36-year veteran of the firm and has served as a first vice president for the past three years. He is the director of the civil division and is the firm's senior wastewater project manager.
Willis is a 1974 graduate of Iowa State University with a B.S. in Civil Engineering. He obtained his M.S. in Sanitary Engineering from Iowa State in 1976 and joined Allgeier Martin and Associates, Inc. that same year.
He and his wife Beth, have three sons, Eric, Ryan, and Brad and three grandchildren.
Allgeier, Martin and Associates, Inc. is a Joplin, Missouri based consulting engineering and land surveying firm founded in 1954. The company has recently relocated to newly constructed facilities, and continues to grow by providing wide-ranging electrical and civil engineering services to municipalities, utilities, and other related industries in the Midwest. The firm currently has 118 employees, and has offices located in Joplin and Rolla, Missouri.
