Updated: 2012-02-03 10:16:58
The Joplin Police Department responded today (Feb. 3, 2012) shortly after 2 a.m. to the area of West 32nd and Ashwood (west of Black Cat Road) in reference to a single vehicle crash.

A 2004 Infinity was traveling westbound on 32nd Street occupied by three people at the time of the crash. Only one occupant was wearing his seat belt. This occupant was transported by ambulance to the emergency room at Freeman West and was treated and released with minor injuries. The driver of the vehicle and another occupant were not wearing their seat belts and were ejected from the vehicle.

The driver of the vehicle was identified as Ryan Parker, 35. One passenger was identified as David Sage, 40. They were both pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. The second passenger of the vehicle who survived the crash was identified as Richard Tibbets, 34. They all were Joplin residents.

This crash is still under investigation by the Joplin Police Department Traffic Unit.
