On November 1, 2013, the Joplin Police Department responded to 2626 S. Mina for property destruction. After arriving in the area they found numerous victims of vandalism. After canvassing the area, officers located 15 separate victims in a geographic area roughly bordered by 27th Street on the south, Iron Gates on the West, Mina on the east, and 23rd Street on the north. The typical damage in this incident was graffiti applied to homes, businesses, vehicles, and mailboxes.
