Homemade pie and ice cream will be served. Admission is $10, payable at the door.
The fundraising event will also feature a silent auction for music and art lovers. Antiques, artwork, books, tickets for shows at the Hammons Hall in Springfield, music recordings, themed food baskets and other specialty packages for arts lovers will be available. In addition, specialty pies will go up for auction.
Attendance at the the first two OFO concerts this season surpassed the number attending at all of the 2013-2014 season. Audiences have been drawn by the new polished sound Borgmann has shaped from the orchestra. He said that he anticipates an exciting performance with players responding to the challenging music he has programmed.
The OFO is a community orchestra composed of players from Southwest Missouri and nearby towns, focusing primarily on classical music. Rehearsals are held weekly in Monett. The orchestra is supported by memberships, local foundations, ads in the orchestra program book and funds managed by the Monett Community Foundation.
