The infamous "Bridge to Nowhere" helped everyone realize that earmarks were a abusive practice that should be outlawed. Unfortunately Todd Akin did not get the memo.
Akin has been a consistent supporter of the abusive practice and has only recently supported an earmark ban when his campaign needed money. This is just the kind of politics as usual that Missouri can no longer afford.
Luckily Missouri is already represented in the Senate by Claire McCaskill, the person leading the charge to permanently ban earmarks. Claire is a Missouri style moderate who has gone to Washington and tried hard to cut out fraud and abuse.
If Missourians want taxes spent wisely then we need to re-elect Claire to the U.S. Senate. Vote for Claire, I know I will.
