UPDATE: Joshua Pruett no longer is on the loose. He was arrested October 15, 2013. A Springfield police officer was contacted in reference to Pruetts presence at the 1935 S. Wedgewood residence. After several attempts by officers to make contact with Pruett in the home, an officer and his K-9 responded and located Pruett hiding under a bathroom sink. The K-9 engaged Pruett, and Pruett was taken into custody and transported to a hospital for treatment needed for leg wounds. He was later transported to the Greene County Jail.

Springfield police presented cases to the Greene County Prosecuting Attorneys Office that involved Pruett breaking into and stealing from vehicles, fraudulent use of credit cards, forgery, and burglarizing storage units.

One felony count of 2nd Degree Burglary, one felony count of Stealing, three felony counts of Forgery, two felony counts of Receiving Stolen Property, and one misdemeanor count of Fraudulent Use of a Credit/Debit Device were filed against Pruett with a bond of $100,000. The charges announced herein are merely an accusation and Pruett is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

Joshua Pruett is still on the loose, possibly breaking more laws. He is considered one of Springfield's most wanted. Pass along a tip as to his whereabouts to Crime Stoppers and be eligible for a reward.
