Helping Watered Gardens in their mission
March 11, 2010
Watered Gardens, 531 Kentucky Ave., Joplin, is a Christian outreach that offers a variety of services to comfort those in need. The group encourages any volunteers to help meet that goal.

Several Joplin businesses are demonstrating their willingness to assist in an event set for March 24, 2010. The employees of Dr. Flys Salon will be donating their time and talent to the men and women of Watered Gardens. Their second annual giving back event will be free use of their services for 42 people. Assisting them in this effort are Columbia Traders donating lunches and Sugar Creek Designs donating event t-shirts.

Anyone may help Watered Gardens in their mission. Here is their current wish list: food for their pantry, hygiene items (toothpaste, toothbrushes, deoderant, shampoo/conditioner, combs), socks, wipes/diapers, boots/shoes, men's jeans, backpacks, household items (dishes, pots/pans, linens, towels, appliances) and furniture and accessories including mattresses/box springs. All donations are tax-deductible.

To contact Watered Gardens phone (417) 623-6030 or toll-free (877) 724-7770 or send an e-mail here.
