Sen. Roberts meets with Eisenhower Commission s-little
Updated: 2011-03-31 15:56:32
Senator Pat Roberts (R-KS), at left, is shown meeting with the Eisenhower Memorial Commission members for a progress report. With him are Victorial Tigwell, deputy executive director and Brig. General Carl W. Reddel, USAF (Ret.), ED. The memorial's design by Frank Gehry approved at the beginning of 2011 is now in its final concept phase. The goal is to complete the memorial and dedicate it by May 25, 2015--the 70th anniversary of victory in World War II. The Eisenhower Memorial will be located next to the Smithsonian's National Air and Space Museum, and the U.S. Dept. of Education and the U.S. Dept. of Transportation, both founded during Ike's administration.
