Webb City's Lankford is lauded
February 03, 2015
Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education Deputy Commissioner Ron Lankford has been named one of Southwest Missouri’s PathFinders, 10 men and women who are recognized as leaders in their fields. Lankford, retired superintendent of Webb City schools, was named Deputy Commissioner for the Department’s Division of Financial and Administrative Services in 2010.

“Ron Lankford serves as an outstanding example of an effective educator,” said Commissioner of Education Margie Vandeven. “This recognition comes as no surprise to anyone who knows Ron and has worked with him.”

Lankford began his career as a counselor in Harrisburg R-XI, near Columbia, Missouri. He also worked in East Newton School District in Granby, before moving to Webb City.
