Tarrant named MSSU Board student representative

Ezekiel "Zeke" Tarrant, senior biology and biochemistry major from Joplin, has been appointed by Missouri Gov. Jay Nixon as the new student representative to the Board of Governors at Missouri Southern State University. Tarrant is a 2006 graduate of Webb City High School.

Currently president of the biology club at Missouri Southern, from 2008-2009 Tarrant served as the club's vice president. He is a member of the Alpha Chi Honor Society.

Tarrant succeeds Ivy Love of Greenfield whose term expired on Dec. 31, 2009. His appointment is subject to approval by the Missouri General Assembly.
