| The Springfield Convention & Visitors Bureau is the first in Missouri to develop a destination-specific app to enhance visitors’ experiences. The new, cutting-edge, WAY COOL Springfield mobile phone application is now available for iPhone and BlackBerry users and other Internet-enabled mobile devices. An app for Android users will be available soon.
Features include: GPS location tracking, integrated mapping, itinerary planning, tourism industry Twitter feed, "Share my Trip" with Twitter, Facebook and Flickr, augmented reality (available on iPhone G3S only), events calendar, thematic listings, "What's Nearby," search and photo galleries and slide shows. Coming soon are audio and video tours, featured listings and banner advertising campaigns.
