Shaping our water future-- working to ensue adequate quality water supplies will be discussed at a two-day regional planning conference, September 17 and 18, 2009. The event, described as a forum for the discussion of pressing water issues, will take place at the Doubletree Hotel, 2431 N. Glenstone, Springfield.

Open to participants from the 4-states concerned with water issues, including public, private, nonprofit and government representatives, the event will include a discussion of technical and political issues related to water supply, water quality and conservation. New ideas are welcomed.

The conference fees, that include lunch, are $95 per person for both days or $65 per person for one day. Rooms are available at the Doubletree under "Missouri State University" and may be reserved by phoning (417) 831-3131.
