| Boulevard Bank, with office locations in Neosho, Columbia and St. Louis, today turned over the deeds to three lots in Joplin to the Joplin Area Habitat for Humanity. According to Connie Mosbaugh, Habitat executive director, the donation will allow the organization to construct at least one home on Furnace Street where the lots are located.
The Joplin Area Habitat for Humanity has been building homes in the Jasper County for over 18 years with over two dozen completed or in the process of completion. The house furthest along is located on N. Cox in Joplin. Another with footings in awaiting a string of good weather to lay block is on Monroe in Joplin. And the latest project in the very early stages of preparation is located on Maple St. in Carthage
Donations of land and building materials are very much appreciated. Anyone interested in making a donation or volunteering can contact the Habitat office at (417) 782-6533 or send an e-mail here. Go Back |
