| Saturday, April 5, 2008 was the date recently chosen for the 20th Annual Missouri's Largest Garage Sale in Neosho, according to an announcement by the special events committee of the Neosho Area Chamber of Commerce. The event which is held rain or shine begins at 7 a.m.
"We advertise the event all over the four-state area, and many of our visitors come here annually in search of bargains," Shana Griffin, executive director of the chamber, said. "It brings thousands of tourists to our community, and they spend money at our hotels, restaurants and convenience stores."
An estimated 350 sales will be held across Neosho, many multi-family. A map showing the location of the sales will be distributed at most convenience stores and restaurants.
