| Effective February 4, 2008, Jack Schaller, a professional engineer from Kansas became Joplin's assistant director of public works and engineering manager. In this role Schaller assumes responsibility for the direct management of the engineering department and traffic engineering in public works for the city of Joplin.
With 15 years current experience as a civil engineer, Schaller worked on numerous projects for the city of Coffeyville performing design work on various road projects, a sewer project, the football stadium redesign, storm water projects, traffic signal design and did work for Kansas Connecting Link. He was responsible for the design of over 20 bridge structures and design of the Branson West Regional Airport and Allen County Airport expansions while employed by Allgeier Martin and Associates, Inc. as a civil engineer I.
After receiving a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from the University of Missouri-Rolla (now Missouri University of Science and Technology), Schaller worked as an engineering associate for the Kansas Department of Transportation where he was involved in the construction of a two-mile relocation and realignment of US-50 at Florence.
In his spare time Schaller expects to enjoy team-roping and working on his farm. Go Back |
