Dr. McClendon reappointed to mental health board staff
Updated: 2008-07-12 10:10:42

Phillip W. McClendon, pictured left, a senior pastor at Calvary Baptist Church in Joplin, has been reappointed to the Mental Health Commission by Gov. Matt Blunt. His new term will end on June 28, 2012.

McClendon, 61, holds a B.A. degree from Cumberland College, a master's from Midwestern Baptist Theological and a Doctor of Ministry from Luther Rice Seminary.

The seven-member commission, which meets monthly in Jefferson City and includes one person recognized for his or her interest in community mental health services, has a role in determining the practices and projects of the department and in distribution of research funds.
