Mac County gets new ambulances staff
Updated: 2008-10-01 10:52:00
The Freeman McDonald County ambulance station in Jane, MO has been awarded a grant of $379,355 to help purchase two ambulances and emergency equipment. The grant was awarded by the US Department of Health and Human Services.

"McDonald County has been designated as a Medically Under served Area by the Health Resources and Services Administration and the need for health care services in this area is dramatic," said Freeman Health System President and CEO Gary Duncan.

The not-for-profit Freeman Health System is a 404-bed, three hospital system providing health care and behavioral health services to a 4-state area that includes more than 450,000 residents. For more information about it, go here.
