Editor's note: Kum & Go, L.C., a West Des Moines, IA-based family-owned business, this year celebrating its 50th anniversary, signed an agreement last month to purchase the chain of 37 Cody's stores operating throughout Southwest Missouri.
Meggan Kring, Kum & Go director of communications confirmed that the more than 300 employees of Cody's had to meet her company's employee requirements, hiring criteria universally used in Kum & Go stores in a dozen states.
According to Kyle Krause, Kum & Go president and CEO,"We look forward to building upon the excellent relationship the Jared family has developed with Springfield, Joplin and surrounding communities."
The purchase has made Kum & Go the largest convenience store operator in Southwest Missouri and the fifth largest in the US. Go Back |
