Neosho businessman moves up to vice chair of MHTC staff
Updated: 2009-07-08 19:27:09
Rudy Farber of Neosho became vice-chairman of the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission, the governing board that oversees MoDot, after the seat was vacated by David Gach of St. Joseph. Gach was elected to fill the vacancy held by Mike Kehoe, MHTC chairman.

Kehoe, who was appointed to the commission in the spring of 2005 announced his resignation at the commission's meeting in Springfield today (July 8). Kehoe, who owns a car dealership in Jefferson city, and ready for a new chapter in his life, already had notified Gov. Jay Nixon by letter.

The commission is made up of three Democrats and three Republicans who are appointed by the governor to serve six-year terms. They are staggered so that technically no more than two leave the panel in a given year.

Other members of the commission are Duane Michie of Caruthersville, Grace Nichols of St. Charles and Joe Carmichael of Springfield.
