A practical use for political campaign signs staff

An honorable mention in EPA's Lifecycle Building Challenge 3 went to Political Ply for an arid zone shade structure designed by Jason Griffiths of Arizona State University, Tempe. Made of re-purposed political campaign signs that otherwise would have ended up as debris in a landfill, the structure is composed of hexagons with each cell having a cooling structure. The project is designed for disassembly; cells stack together for convenient transporting.
