The Neosho Area Chamber of Commerce invites the public and business community to attend the 5th Annual “E” Conference on Friday and Saturday, September 24-25, 2010, at Crowder College in Neosho. This year’s theme is “Sustainability and You”.

The group is looking for nominees for awards that honor companies that display "green" practices. All nominees will be recognized in the conference program and on its website. Winners also will receive a trophy.

The awards and their guidelines are:

  • Excellence in Green Building Award - The Crowder College Students for Alternative Green Energy Club Excellence in Green Building Award will be given to recognize a four-state area business that demonstrates outstanding effort in instituting, utilizing, or providing green building goods, services, or practices.

  • Crowder MARET Center Energy Excellence Award - The MARET Center Energy Excellence Award will be given to recognize a four-state area business that demonstrates outstanding effort in instituting, utilizing, or providing energy efficiency or energy efficient products or services.

  • Excellence in Environmental Stewardship Award - The Eastern Shawnee Longhouse Management Authority Excellence in Environmental Stewardship Award will be given to recognize a four-state area business that demonstrates outstanding effort in instituting, utilizing or providing successful environmental projects and/or conservation measures.
