| In conjunction with Main Street Joplin’s “3rd Thursday" events the city of Joplin's parks and recreation department once again is hosting the Brown Bag Lunch Bunch program. It will be held at noon beginning on Thursday, May 20, 2010, at Spiva Park, located on the northeast corner of 4th and Main Street.
The following performances are scheduled:
- May 20: Mark and Sabrina Arbuckle, folk and acoustic and classic rock performers from Pittsburg, KS
- June 17: Jessica Plott and Students of Studio 312, competitive performers from Talent on Parade and members of the 2010 Top Starz Team
- July 15: Robert Pommert, classical guitarist from Neosho
- August 19: Max Barnett, multi-stylist guitar player from Joplin
- September 16: Lea Ingram, lead singer for the local Joplin band “Diversity” who does acoustic things on the side once in a while
Attendees may bring their lunches or pick up their lunches on their way downtown at a nearby restaurant. "Brown bags" are available at the Joplin Public Library, Joplin City Hall or Joplin Memorial Hall containing coupons for various restaurants.
