Neosho city manager issues lay-offs staff

Neosho City Manager Harlan Moore has announced several personnel cuts that are effective immediately. These staff positions are slated for long term vacancy or elimination. Duties performed by each position will be absorbed by existing staff.

“This task is painful but I’m doing what I must to balance the current year budget and protect the city’s ability to provide essential services," Moore said. "We lost some great folks today.”

The positions include: administrative assistant, public works; records supervisor, police department; events coordinator, general administration; training officer, fire department; collector, finance department; deputy chief, fire department; deputy chief, police department; administrative assistant, general administration and waste water line maintenance, waste water department.
