| Crews with the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) Southwest District are installing a flashing yield sign for traffic on the Exit 8 off-ramp of westbound I-44, traveling onto northbound Range Line Road (Business Route 71) in Joplin.
Scheduled for installation Monday, Sept 27, 2010, weather permitting, the sign is meant to deter drivers who are currently not slowing down driving off the ramp as well as not yielding to traffic on northbound Business Route 71. MoDOT hopes the flashing yield sign will grab motorists' attention and re-enforce their need to yield.
