Toot, toot no more at least in one Joplin location

Who would have thought in the year 2000 that Connecticut Street in Joplin would look like this a decade later? Building the new railroad bridge required playing musical chairs with the trains, redirecting them from the street-level track to the elevated one. This section of track near 26th Street in the vicinity of two church schools at least eliminates one of the many street level railroad crossings still remaining where the train conductors are required to lean on their horns through all hours of the day and night. In eliminating noise the city of Neosho is much more proactive.
