Joplin Public Library has expanded digitally
March 21, 2011
Joplin Public Library has expanded its services. Library patrons may now download audiobooks and eBooks 24/7 from the library's webwsite to PCs, Macs and many mobile devices.

Users will need to install free software. This will include OverDrive Media Console to read audiobooks and Adobe Digital Editions to read eBooks.

Titles may be enjoyed immediately or downloaded to a variety of devices including iPod, Sony Reader, and many others. Some audio titles also may be burned to a CD to listen on-the-go. All titles will automatically expire at the end of the lending period. There will be no late fees.

"With hundreds of popular fiction and non-fiction titles to choose from, the new collection is guaranteed to have something for everyone," said Jacque Gage, Joplin Library director.
