The MVC Education Fund, headquartered in St. Louis, is holding their 10th Annual Environmental Summit at the University of Missouri-Columbia from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 28, 2012. The agenda will include hearing issue experts on specific challenges facing the state, networking with like-minded environmental supporters and discovering ways to secure Missouri's environmental future.
Attended by over 100 environmental leaders, students, activists and legislators, the 2011 summit in part covered improving Missouri's water and limiting CAFOs, making clean energy work in the state, fostering sustainable transportation and land use, encouraging recycling and caring for parks and natural areas.
