Cary McKee heads Church Army Branson staff
Updated: 2011-12-01 15:16:33
Cary McKee, has been named the new director of Church Army Branson, according to a release by their board of directors. The appointment was made October 28, 2011, and follows the resignation of Steve Baughan who held the position for eight years.

“Cary has been part of our organization for over four years and has been instrumental in the development of our recovery services program," noted Peter Herchend, board member. "We are confident that Cary, along with Gary Osborn, director of operations and Tami McKinney, director of administration, can shepherd this period of tremendous growth.”

McKee began his employment with Church Army Branson in 2008 as a case manager for the faith-based drug and alcohol recovery program. He later was promoted to director of recovery services.

Originally from Aurora, Cary along with his wife Amanda, owner of Amanda McKee Hair Design in Branson, and their three children reside in Branson. They are leaders in Church Army’s Peace in the Storm Worship Service that meets at First Baptist Church in Branson on Saturday evenings.

Established in 1995, Church Army Branson is a non-profit Christian ministry offering recovery through spirituality, 12-step recovery classes and housing. Board members include Penelope Willard, Edd Akers, Tim Blacke, Chuck Pennel, Bryan Stallings, Mark Pyatt and Herchend.
