Construction to begin on Range Line at 36th Street staff
Updated: 2012-05-03 07:06:07
Drivers on Range Line Road (Business 71) at 36th Street should expect delays from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. According to the Missouri Department of Transportation, starting May 7, 2012 a project to build sidewalks is slated to begin. The estimated completion date is late August 2012.

The project includes building sidewalks on the west side of Range Line from 700 feet north to 500 feet south of 36th Street and on the east side 700 feet to the north of 36th Street. Businesses entrances will be rebuilt in the process but open at all times for access. In addition, pedestrian crossing buttons will be installed on the traffic signal at 36th Street and pedestrian crosswalks will be created at the intersection.

The prime contractor is Emery Sapp and Sons of Columbia, Missouri. The firm won the contract with a low bid of $378,000.
