Officials attend ground-breaking for PFH facility staff
Updated: 2012-05-16 08:04:57
Preferred Family Healthcare (PFH), a comprehensive non-profit substance abuse treatment/prevention and mental health services provider, held a groundbreaking ceremony recently to mark the beginning of a 21,000 square foot facility at 32nd Street and Center City Road, adjacent to the facility PFH sold to Mercy Healthcare in July 3011 to fill the need for psychiatric care. The center at an approximate cost of $4 million will serve adolescents and their families who have identified substance abuse issues in Joplin and surrounding counties of Missouri and Kansas. The project has an estimated completion date of late spring 2013. Pictured from L-R are Mark Stringer of the Missouri Department of Mental Health; Ann Hutton, PFH chief operating officer; Jamie Campbell, PFH president of operations; Representative Bill White; Representative Charlie Davis and PFH CEO Michael T. Schwed.
