Ballet instruction is offered summer 2013 staff
Updated: 2013-02-21 16:26:41
The National Ballet Academy of Denver offers an comprehensive technique intensive International Summer School from June 24 to July 27, 2013, for serious young dancers from the USA and overseas. Each day consists of five to six hours of classes and workshops, six days a week. Emphasis is placed on each dancer'’s technical and artistic growth through individualized attention, career development classes, and special workshops. All classes offered during the summer intensive will serve to enrich the dancer’s exposure to the classic ballet training curriculum. A distinguished faculty from the National Ballet Academy of Denver led by Artistic Directors Cornell Callender and Andrei Vassiliev along with renowned international guest teachers, join the staff to make up a distinguished teaching faculty, providing classes in a variety of dance styles, under the guidance of our Directors. The course offers classes including Classical Technique, Pointe, Repertoire, Pas de Deux, Body Conditioning and Variations. Students may apply to be accommodated at the School's supervised dormitory, subject to availability. General hotel information and costs of accommodation will be sent by the Summer School Office to those offered places. It is the responsibility of the individual student's family/guardian to arrange for accommodations.
