|The Missouri Department of Transportation is looking for emergency snowplow operators to assist with winter operations efforts in all parts of the state. While the department's 2,400 maintenance employees are ready to plow snow this winter, a big regional or statewide storm means emergency snowplow operators must provide extra help. Qualified applicants will receive extensive training so they would be able to perform routine, entry-level duties related to MoDOTís snow removal operations.
Applicants must be at least 18 years old and possess a commercial driverís license, Class A or B, with no air brake restrictions. Applicants must also successfully complete a criminal background check and drug screening. Those hired as emergency operators earn $13.82 to $15.63 per hour, depending on their levels of experience.
