Enjoy activities at an old fashioned print shop
April 15, 2014
Tim Field, museum educator at Har-Ber Village in Grove, Oklahoma, turns the fly wheel of Maud Duncan's printing press. The press is part of the print shop exhibit on Har-Ber Village's Main Street which was renovated to allow better viewing of the old fashioned presses, antique type, composition tables, drying trays and various other equipment owned by Duncan who published the Winslow (Arkansas) American from 1908 until the mid 1950s. She was known as "The Little Printer of the Ozarks." Opening day for this exhibit which includes creation of a souvenir on a linoleum printing press, is Saturday, Apr. 26, 2014. Hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
