|Plans have been finalized for the 5th annual Route 66 Collectors Show: Coins, Stamps and Sports Cards to be held in Joplin from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 27, 2014. The free event will be at the Continental Banquet Center at 2802 N. Range Line Rd., just behind Granny Shaffer’s Restaurant.
This one-day event will feature a day of trading and networking with area dealers buying and selling coins, gold, silver, stamps, jewelry, currency, sports collectibles, postcards, and related hobby items. Appraisers and buyers of coins, gold, silver, and related items will be on hand to assist collectors.
“This is the perfect venue for this event on scenic and historic Route 66,” said Dave Sorrick of In God We Trust LLC, the the hobby event sponsor. “We will host a rather select, but significant group of coin, stamp, sports card, and bullion dealers. Many of those in attendance are members of the coin clubs in the surrounding area, including the Joplin Tri-State Coin Club, the Sedalia, MO Coin Club, the Pittsburg, KS Coin Club and the Parsons, KS Coin Club. We hope to see many of our friends from the area, as well as members of the general public, who have an interest in collecting and trading precious metals, coins, stamps, sports cards and currency.”
