The Crowder College Speech and Debate Team after competing in the Missouri Association of Forensics Activities State Championships at home had scores that earned them the distinction of being the top community college in Missouri. They are (L-R) Jason Edgar, Tom Younker, Kayla Williams, Drew Young, Katie Knight, Hope Guiterrez, Dirk Deaton, Shelby Musgrave, Kyler Bard, Miranda Johnson. Special kudos go to freshman Younker from Monett who in the novice Lincoln-Douglas debate posted a perfect 4-0 record in preliminary rounds and who in the final round was defeated by a slim margin by a competitor from Missouri State University.
