NCO employees need medical assistance
July 09, 2015
What may seem in retrospect as overkill--two Joplin fire units with eight fire personnel and representatives of the Joplin Police, METS and the Joplin Health Department responded to an emergency call from NCO, 1717 W. 7th St., Joplin. The call was made at about 2:45 p.m. today.

Emergency personnel arrived at the scene to find several employees evacuated to the parking lot. Upon investigation it was determined that an employee had used an off-the-shelf bug spray which resulted in more than 20 employees claiming hypersensitivity to the product. Three were transported for medical attention.

Fans were used by the fire department to ventilate the building. Employees afterwards returned to work.
