Salute century farms

Put on your jeans and boots and join the agricultural community in a Salute to Century Farms. The event sponsored by the Greene County University of Missouri Extension will take place from 6-9 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 28, 2015, at the Round Barn Event Center located on Highway 160 between Willard and Ash Grove.

Featured are live and silent auctions, music performed by folksinger Judy Doomny and food catered by Maggie Mae. The three Century Farms in Greene County recognized this fall will be L.O. and Alice Wallis Farm, founded in 1913, and now owned by Robert and Marcia Harralson of Springfield; McAdoo-Helfrecht-Lindsey Farm, founded in 1880, and now owned by Charles and Suzanne Lindsey of Springfield; and finally, Whitesell Farm near Bois DArc, founded in 1879, and now owned by Jim Whitesell of Ash Grove.

Tickets are $25 per person and may be purchased by credit card here.
