The 49th Annual Maple Leaf royalty have been named by the Carthage Chamber of Commerce. They are Carthage High School students (L-R) Emma Pound, second runner up; Natalie Gilliam, first runner-up; and Allison Peterson, queen. Peterson is class president, secretary of the Carthage FNLA chapter and a member of the Spanish club. Gilliam is president of the CHS National Honor Society and member of the Royal Tigerettes and Pound is an accomplished competitive dancer and also member of the Tigerettes. The pageant held on October 11 was sponsored by Hometown Bank and MadStyle Salon.
